Finding litter around town is a sad reality. We see it every day and do very little to keep our cities clean. However, collectively we can make an impact. Litterati is an environmental app encouraging users to keep their surroundings clean and make a difference in their communities. With the use of Litterati, schools will give their students an opportunity for social and emotional learning. Students will build relationships with each other and be encouraged to make a difference, starting with their community. With the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic, students made a switch to online schools, and as things slowly come back to "normal," Litterati will allow for outdoor class learning and a chance to step outside the classroom. Through the use of Litterati's pre-made lesson plans, students will find themselves doing outside classroom activities, connecting, discussing their findings, and reflecting on their work.
